Charles grew up in Berlin. In his early years he was the Berlin “paperboy”. As he grew older like most teenagers he began working in Ocean City at the hotels and restaurants. Charles graduated from Stephen Decatur High School followed by North Carolina Wesleyan College. He met his beautiful wife Andrea after college. They have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Lauren and Erica along with five grandchildren.
Fun Facts
Charles used to string tennis and racquetball racquets as a side business which he learned while on the college tennis team.
Charles once played golf in a foursome with Dell Curry (former NBA player) and father of Steph Curry (current NBA all-star).
